is an exciting new project run by ArtForms Leeds, DigitalME and Sheffield Hallam University along with arts organisations and artists across Leeds.
Digital badges are a new way of rewarding participation and recognising skills digitally, and through BadgeLAB Leeds we're testing out whether digital badges can encourage young people to engage in more arts activities and try out new things. You can find out more about digital badges here
We're working with arts organisations and artists to create badges for their activities, which are earned by completing their 'Mission' at an event, a workshop, a school session or even at home.
Badges are claimed online using a 'claim code' which the badge earner enters into their account on the BadgeLAB Leeds site. These claim codes are accessed once the earner has completed their "Mission". Claim codes can be acquired in a variety of ways, for example:
- On a BadgeLAB Leeds token given out by an artist at an event or workshop
- In an email or message, received once the earner has uploaded or completed something online.
BadgeLAB Leeds are working with March of the Robots, First Floor, Studio 12, The Den Experiment and Boffin Projects, badging all kinds of activity such as robot making, den building, ceramics and film making. Want to get involved? Find out more
