Be Kind! Task for Secondary Students
Sometimes we all need a helping hand, and it’s your mates that are best placed to help you out.
Lots of people have different circumstances - things to do with their health, their family or their background - which might mean that having really good friends is especially important.
Young Carers in Focus Champion Becky describes how important friends are for young people who care for someone at home:
...I really needed my friends. Not just for support, but to just be there for me- give me a smile when I saw them at school, talk to me like a normal person their age, be my shoulder to cry on, my celebratory mate when something did go right.
We want to hear about a time when your friends have helped you. This can be for any reason - exam stress, an illness or just lending you an outfit! We all have times in our lives when having a good friend to talk to is especially important, so think about a point when your friend really made a difference.
It can be any act, big or small. It’s the thought that counts.Earn your YCIF Be Kind Badge today
