The Story of Malala
Malala Yousafzai is the fifteen year old Pakistani girl who was shot last October because she spoke out for the right of girls to go to school in her homeland, the Swat Valley.

Brave Malala survived the attack – and now is campaigning harder than ever for the right of every girl and every boy to go to school. On July 12th 2013 – Malala Day – she gave an incredible speech to the United Nations, the organisation which represents every country in the world.

She called upon world leaders to do more to put children into school, and together with around 600 young people from around the world, presented a youth resolution to the UN Secretary-General.
