What beautiful weather to end our fun filled week! The sun is shining and everyone is happy and looking forward to the last two activities which are Bivi and Fencing!

Bivi was excellent, the children were asked to create a shelter in the woods. Initially they had huge structures in mind even adding on a side extension in the building process! Very soon they realised the difficulty in creating walls and a roof for their giant creations! See pics below for their creations!

EN GARDE!!! - Fencing was fab! The children really enjoyed this activity!

Lunch is at 12.20pm and we are due to leave at 1.00pm. See you all soon.

Thursday 7.00pm
The center end the last evening meal as a barbecue. As the weather hasn't been too good today we ate it indoors with a lolly to finish YUM!!!!!

Thursday 11.30am
Today we awoke to the sound of rain tapping on our cabin roofs. Gathering our raincoats we set off for breakfast which we ate heartedly whilst discussing our activities of the day. Climbing, blind-trail, high ropes and water polo are all on the agenda today!

The blind-trail is a great activity, it enables the children to clearly communicate with each other as they guide their partner through various tunnels and challenging structures whilst blind folded! They all loved it!
Climbing too was well liked as the children climbed to the top of the wall, they are braver than I am!! Although I am looking forward to abseiling later as that is my favourite activity. Coming from someone who is terrified of heights and cried their way through the confidence course and high ropes 2 years ago, to say I am looking forward to abseiling is something of a conquest!

Wednesday 4pm
We started this beautiful hot summery day with the usual breakfast of bacon, sausage, tomatoes, beans, toast and cereal and then made our way to the lake which is about a 15 min walk. Once there we were given our inflatable jackets and set on the water in a canoe. It was so much fun! The children played games which involved standing up on the canoe and doing funny dances. Fortunately no-one fell in AT THAT POINT!!
After a short break of orange or hot blackcurrant we then tried our skills at kayaking! The games on the kayaks became competitive as Mrs Chiverrell and I set to the water! (In previous years we have both fallen in plus a school camera and my iPhone!!).
We played 'The Simpsons' game and several others and fortunately Mrs Chiverrell and I remained fairly dry. That is not to be said for the children! I'm not sure many had a dry piece of clothing on them when they got out! It was GREAT FUN!! They are loved it.....
We then set back for lunch and the afternoons activities consisting of abseiling, compass work and rifle shooting.
We had some naturals on the rifles who did extremely well! And the abseiling session was brilliant - pupils got 4 turns each! This evening after tea the pupils will encounter 'THE UNDERGROUND MAZE'. I'll try and post some pics later on!

Tuesday 19.12 pm
The children have had a fantastic day! They are all very tired and will definitely sleep tonight! After their last activity at 20.30 they will be doing their diaries and a quick play rehearsal before showers and bed-time!

Tuesday 9am
The first activity this morning was archery for one group and raft building for the other group. Other activities today include obstacle course, volleyball, scavenger hunt and confidence course.

The first nights activity was 'initiative exercises' where both groups had lots of fun solving many puzzles and group tasks. We wrote our diaries and went to bed at 10 pm. Most children fell to sleep fairly quickly and were up and about this morning from 6.30 ish.
We went to breakfast at 8am and the children were happy to see bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes, toast and cereal on the menu!
