Cave Painting

Be amazed by this animation from a class at Grange Park Primary

The whole class took it in turns to draw on a large piece of paper to recreate one of the caves in Lascaux in France. Lascaux is in the South West of France and is famous for its Palaeolithic cave paintings. Estimated to be up to 20,000 years old, the paintings are mostly of large animals.

We used soft chalks and varied the pressure to get a range of depths of colours.

We are keen to enter this in to a competition. If you know of any please forward the link for this blog post to the organisers with the email
