Have you ever seen pictures of the Northern Lights and wondered what is going on? The Northern and Southern Lights, otherwise known as the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis are spectacular natural displays of green, violet and even red light that dance across the sky. The two photographs above show just how different aurora displays can look and how beautiful they are too.
