Hedgehog Awareness Week aims to highlight the problems hedgehogs face and how you can help them.
  1. Hedgehog fact file

Research about our spiky little friends and create your own hedgehog fact file, you should include the following information:

    • Description
    • Where they live (habitat)
    • Size
    • What do they eat (diet)
    • What do they do (behaviour)

You also might want to create a picture of a hedgehog and add this in as well!

  2. Show your support

Can you create an emotive poster that help highlight the need to support one of our native animals?

Hedgehog Awareness Week aims to highlight the importance of protecting hedgehogs in the wild - your poster will also need to do this, and encourage people to look after and protect this vulnerable species.

  3. A day in the life of a hedgehog

It's time to turn yourself into one of our prickly friends and tell us all about the the things you get up to!

You're going to create a diary entry and detail everything that happened. When writing a diary entry remember to think about:

    • What tense you need to write in
    • Are you writing in 1st or 3rd person?
    • Using time connectives
    • Writing the events in chronological order (the order in which they happened)
    • Using exciting vocabulary to draw the reader in
