To earn this badge, you need to show that you know what causes stress, and you know what to do to help yourself if you feel stressed.
  1. Task 1 What stresses you out?

    For this task, you need to show that you know some of the causes of stress.

    Think about the things in your life that have ever made you feel stressed, anxious, upset, or angry. You may like to watch this video from Childline to think about what makes you feel stressed.

    Make a story on Makewaves that shows some of the stress causes you have identified. You could include a picture, a video or role play about what stresses you out, or an audio recording. It's up to you!

  2. Task 2 Coping with stress

    For this task, you need to demonstrate that you know some good ways to deal with stress.

    You may like to watch this video by Nene Valley Primary School pupils on tips to deal with stress or take a look at this report by a pupil at St Paul's Primary.

    Think about the things you do to calm down and relax, and what you do to feel better when you feel low or upset. Take a look at this story to help you get some ideas or take a look at this Childline page that has lots of tips and advice. There are also help and videos available from Rethink.

    Make a story on Makewaves that explains the things you find useful to do when you feel stressed. Feel free to include photographs, audio clips, videos, or anything else that helps to describe your stress busters.

  3. Task 3 Optional extra - spread the word

    How many people in your school suffer from stress? It may be more than you realise.

    To help spread the word about different ways to deal with stress and why this might be useful create a presentation or assembly to share with your school.

    Upload pictures or text in a story on Makewaves as your evidence.
